Retractor? (226138)

Post by Yahoo_Upload » 02 Jun 2016 14:01

I was inspecting my radiator for cleanliness today and found a new thing that I had never noticed. ?Centered above my radiator stack (visible from the rear cap doors) is a black plastic crank apparatus labeled "Retractor," It also contains a switch for a light for that area. ?Looks a little like a TV antenna crank - The crank operates in a horizontal plane.

What is this?

It's an extendable work light. If you pull on the lamp it will come free and a few feet of cord unwind.?

Turn the little crank to reel it in.?

Got one on my Windsor.?

Steve K

Could be the "cord reel" for a 12V retractable trouble light, (like this one):

You might want to also look above your generator. I have the same light in that location. It is just used as a trouble light.

Thanks for clarifying that for me. I just found mine and had no idea what it did! I have attached a photo of it for the rest of you.
