The Bay Heater is controlled by the System Heat switch on the Control Panel.? The heater is FLAKY at best.? When you say it was “WORKING”, did you base that on feeling HEAT or measuring the temperature or just the “Sound” of the fan running.?These heaters, in your Camelot, were a “New and Improved” design.? They had a One Shot Module.? That was an OVERLOAD protection.? However, when the fuse blew
.the heater element, I THINK, was the only thing that went out.?There is a FIX in the files that Frank McElroy developed and I assisted with.? ?If you are in a bind
.then follow Chuck’s Advice and put in a Trouble Light.? You can purchase, at most hardware stores, a simple plug in 45 DF thermostat.? That will get you by.? You can also put in TWO trouble lights
.?NOW
..the REAL solution is to use the AquaHot.? That is WAY MORE reliable.? You will need to set the Thermostat to HEAT.? Do this for all three zones.? Set the temp for say 70 DF or so.? Turn ON the AquaHot diesel burner.? You should have HEAT coming from all the zones.? ?There is a heater in the wet bay area.? It will come ON.? ?OK
.now that you have tested everything, then do the following.?Open the inside cabinets where the P-Traps are? and also the doors to the washing machine cabinet.? That will give you heat in those critical areas.? Leave the shower door OPEN.?Now set the Furnace Temperature to 50 Df or so.? That will give you internal heat to protect the interior.? The AquaHot heater in the bay comes on around 45 or so.? It actually keeps the bay a little warmer than the System Heat, which is highly unreliable.?If you use the AquaHot and establish that you have heat at 70 DF and everything is fine
.then after you turn it down to 50 DF, you should be good to go.?You will NOT need the trouble light for the wet bay
?Good Luck
